World's best horse & Dubai World Cup hero LAUREL RIVER beaten on return

Crowned the joint world's best racehorse earlier this week, Laurel River failed to deliver on his return as he was beaten by King Gold, having his first run on the dirt.

The Dubai World Cup hero used his customary front-running tactics but was chinned close home in the Group Three Firebreak Stakes Presented by Longines.
