Perth Racecourse's Listed British EBF BetVictor Gold Castle 'National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle may have thrown up a star of the future following Giovinco's stunning success. Representing dual Grand National winning trainer Lucinda Russell, the 10/1 chance laughed at his rivals under a motionless Stephen Mulqueen to record a facile victory.
The six-year-old is now unbeaten in three starts for Russell and winning jockey Mulqueen was suitably impressed with the performance in the Listed event, as he told us in his post-race interview here.
