In a race billed as a match between Gold Cup 1-2 Galopin Des Champs and Bravemansgame, 20/1 chance Fastorslow spoiled the party with a shock success in the feature Ladbrokes Punchestown Gold Cup.
Second to subsequent Grand National hero Corach Rambler in last month's Ultima Handicap Chase, Martin Brassil's stable star took a massive step forward, to claim the scalp of this season's Cheltenham Gold Cup and King George VI Chase heroes.
Brassil, who has enjoyed Grand National success in the past with Numbersixvalverde was recording his third Grade One success, whilst it was a fourth top-level win for Slevin who produced a patient and assured ride in the showpiece event.
