Day Two of the 2025 Cheltenham Festival was a day full of emotion as Marine Nationale and Jazzy Matty, the two horses aboard which the late Michael O'Sullivan recorded his two Festival victories back in 2023 were both victorious at Prestbury Park.
Marine Nationale landed the Champion Chase as hot favourite Jonbon made a shuddering error which put paid to his chances, whilst Jazzy Matty gave trainer Cian Collins his first Festival success in the Grand Annual.
Elsewhere, The New Lion stamped his class in the opening Turners Novices' Hurdle, whilst hot favourite Ballyburn proved bitterly disappointing in a Brown Advisory Novices' Chase won by his stable companion Lecky Watson.
Stumptown justified favouritism in the Cross Country, whilst Jimmy Du Seuil captured the Coral Cup on his first start of the season.
