The royal silks are carried to victory for the first time since the Coronation as Serried Ranks, a two-year-old colt by first-season sire Land Force, strikes in an impressive racecourse debut under jockey Rob Hornby for trainer Ralph Beckett at Nottingham.
"An absolute honour to ride a winner for His Majesty The King," Hornby told Racing TV's Tom Bull in the post-race interview as the young prospect looks an exciting one and came home well despite very testing ground at the Midlands track.
